About Nick Boughton
Just a nerdy web and systems developer on the webbertubes. I make silly things and play D&D.
And all that jazz…
I hate jazz. I know this is a tad late but Happy New Whatever all the same, I’ve just spent three days ill because an inconsiderate pillock decided to expose the entire office to his germs instead of having the decency to stay home. Because of that prick I’ve had to postpone a scheduled server upgrade at work and generally been miserable and sick. On a lighter note my birthday is coming up and I’ve decided to go to the Zoo as they have Red Pandas and I’m a sucker for those adorable little bastards so I at least have that going for me.
I’ve also been doing Project Euler puzzles lately after I got a bit bored of the Advent of Code stuff. I just prefer the smaller scope of Project Euler problems. I’m also doing it because I’m awful at maths and this is a way for me to improve although admittedly I’m still seeing if some of the less computationally expensive problems can be brute-forced imaginatively. Most of them can. I’m working to the project’s recommendation that a solution should take <1 minute to run and so far all of mine meet this requirement. I’ve also put together a set of utility libraries over the course of this though I’m not sure they have much use outside of solving Project Euler problems.
